My city guides: Barcelona day 1

Hola, from sunny Barcelona at ten o’clock at night! Yes, I know that #thenightisyoung and #soamI, but I have been walking around the city all day and have got to the point where I need to sit in bed and slowly close my eyes! Also, for the record I am not sixty, I am sixteen- but everyone needs a little rest right?

I have been really wanting to start a feature to my blog titled, you guessed it- “my city guides”. Considering I live in a city (London), and I am visiting a city (Barcelona), surely it is more than appropriate to have this section feature on my blog? Today’s post is all about me, showing you, all my amazing (ok, well you can be the judge of that) photos I have taken so far. Photography is my passion. I love it-what can I say! But, wandering the alleyways of Barcelona, has been nothing but a pleasure. I have drunken fresh smoothies, eaten the best tapas and people watched to my hearts content.

I hope that you love all of these photos, just as much as I do.  xx

Vintage finds: how I style them

So, recently (ok, by recently, I mean yesterday- Friday) I purchased my very first BAKER BOY HAT!! I cannot tell you just how excited I am to own this accessory. My hat was purchased from the line of vintage charity shops owned by the designer Mary Portas. You can find her shops by clicking here– they are such a find and I was super lucky to find such a steal!

Confession: my Baker Boy Hat was donated by Millie Mackintosh (I was fan-girling way too hard because Made In Chelsea is my guilty pleasure!!). The hat is originally from the brand Eugenia Kim and you can purchase it here.

My festival must haves- everything you should be wearing

It’s that time of year again…FESTIVAL SEASON!!! In a couple of weeks time, my friends and I are venturing into a world of three man tents, mud and baby wipes. I thought, that it would only be appropriate to feature my festival must haves for this years festival season.

Personally, a festival is whatever you want it to be. If a festival for YOU, is wearing the wackiest sunnies ever and having your face covered in glitter then go for it! Or maybe, it is being around your friends and drinking your sorrows away after reading your GCSE results *cry*. Whatever it may be, you might as well do it in style, am I right? But, with so many clothes to choose from, festival shopping may be rather daunting. Fear not! I have put together my favourite festival items to ensure you party in style:

Ubud photography + some exciting news

Whilst being here, in Ubud, I have suddenly found a love for botanics and plants. The villa we are staying in is simply beautiful. (To rent via Airbnb click here– the host is amazing; if you are ever in Ubud, stay here!!). The white walls and the outdoor bathrooms make for the best Instagram photos. There are plants everywhere; it has made me realize that I am a sucker for leafs and plants.

Like a lot of the houses in Ubud: they bring the outside in. There are marble bath-tubs and marble sinks that overlook palm trees and fern leafs. In the morning, all the doors are open and light beams in.

Staying in Summer Moon has forced me to be a lot more creative with my photography. I thought that I would share with you my photography tips, how I take my photos and how I edit them/ the apps I use.

The equipment I use:

-For the majority of my pictures, I will use my iPhone 6s. It provides great quality and I always have my phone on me. The best camera is the one you have with you. Therefore, it is the easiest way for me to capture my shots. I like to save all my inspiration for my pictures on my phone (e.g from Instagram or Pinterest), so it makes it easily accessible to refer back to them! However, making your own inspiration is an even better idea.
